Chole Bhature is the dish that built Delhi's bustling breakfast culture — and at Rawaayt, we make it the proper Punjabi way. Our chickpeas are soaked overnight, then slow-simmered with tea leaves (for that distinctive deep colour), pomegranate seeds, dry mango powder, and our house chole masala. The result is tangy, deep, and aromatic — never bland.
The bhatura is hand-stretched and fried fresh to order. Each one balloons up golden and crisp on the outside, soft and pillowy inside — exactly the texture you want for tearing and dipping. We serve it with sliced onions, green chillies, lemon wedges, and a side of pickle.
Most Edmonton restaurants serve Chole Bhature as an afterthought. We treat it as a centrepiece. The chickpeas are cooked separately the night before and rested — a step most kitchens skip — which is what gives our curry that thick, melt-into-the-bhatura quality.
Available all day at Rawaayt — we open at 8 AM, so it's a perfect breakfast pick. For a lighter meal, order it with one bhatura. For a feast, add a Raj Kachori to start and finish with a sweet from our mithai counter.
